I’ve been following @rokodog.wear on Instagram for a little while now and have fallen in love with the designs in their shop. With the recent launch of their Look At That Fanny Pack/treat pouch, they were kind enough to send us one in return for our honest review.
About the Company
RoKodog is a Canadian company that creates handmade, stylish gear for active dogs and their owners. Their products include collars, bandanas, sweatshirts, fanny packs, and more. In addition, RoKodog donates 10% of their profits to Raincoast Dog Rescue.

Function & Fit
RoKodog’s Look At That Fanny pack retails for $36 ($45 CAD). The main pouch is 5 x 7 inches and has a zipper to close. The front pocket is 3 x 7 inches and closes with a button. Zipper and button closures rather than velcro, magnet, or drawstring are a plus. Zippers and buttons last longer and keep your things more secure.
It holds a lot more than I expected, even for its small size. I thought it would be too small, but after using it, I love this size. Surprisingly, I can fit my treats, phone, keys, and clicker in there. This pack is also super light. I hardly even notice it’s on my waist. It doesn’t flap or bounce around, which is my usual gripe with many hip pouches for dog trainers. As a short person, I also appreciate that this pouch doesn’t hang down super low. Low hanging treat bags just beg for my tall dogs to steal from them…
A huge plus was that it came with an adjustable belt attached. The belt is made from flat nylon webbing, so it’s thin, light, and easy to adjust. It maxes out at 40 inches. The side release buckle makes for an quick and easy on and off. You can use the belt adjuster to keep the pack on your hip instead of sliding forward.

Quality & Style
I’ve seen a lot of treat bags and this is definitely one of the prettiest. The main pouch is made of a cork-like fabric, which adds a modern, outdoorsy touch. The front pocket made out of a canvas material of which you can choose from a variety of gorgeous designs. The fabrics are sturdy, with no stretch, so your things won’t fall out easily. RoKodog also makes collars to match your bag, which is awesome!
It’s handmade, but it sure doesn’t look like it. The stitching is strong, so I doubt this will fall apart anytime soon. It’s easy to tell the creator pays close attention to detail on each item. This pack, along with the other items I received, were all carefully cut and sewn to show off the best parts of the fabrics. I’m oddly picky about things like this, so I really appreciate this attention to detail. It’s something that I greatly consider when choosing a shop to purchase from. I’d definitely purchase from RoKodog in the future.

Final Thoughts
I don’t really have anything negative to say about this pack. It’s great! It’s perfect for training sessions, walks, hikes, and other adventures. To be honest, you could probably find many uses for any time you’re on the go – even without dogs. I’ve used it for my wallet when I don’t want to carry a purse. I would recommend this to any of my friends who train their dogs or take their dogs on adventures, especially if you bring along treats, clickers, etc.
