Here is a list of disc dog competition organizations. Although it isn’t required, disc dog clubs typically use one of the following organizations’ rules for their competitions. Most of these organizations have their own respective world finals and clubs (or an individual) can offer qualifying competitions for those world finals. Visit each organization’s website for the most up-to-date rules and events. Will update as needed.

Ashley Whippet Invitational
Beginning year: 1975
Types of games offered: Freestyle and Toss & Fetch
Freestyle Rules Synopsis: 2 minutes, 9 disc limit
What makes AWI unique:
- Named after the first dog to become famous for catching a disc, Ashley Whippet
- First disc dog competition organization created
- Lowered point value for Toss and Fetch in comparison to other organizations, making Freestyle the highlight of the event

Skyhoundz
Beginning year: 2000
Types of games offered: Freestyle, Toss & Fetch, Long Distance, and Disc Dog Games
Freestyle Rules Synopsis: 90 seconds, 5 disc limit
What makes Skyhoundz unique:
- Offers a variety of divisions in their classic series, including microdog, junior, and pairs divisions
- Requires competitors to use only Hyperflite brand discs

United States Disc Dog Nationals (USDDN)
Beginning year: 2001
Types of games offered: Freestyle and Toss & Fetch
Freestyle Rules Synopsis: 2 minutes, 10 disc limit
What makes USDDN unique:
- Freestyle judging categories are broken down more so than others
- Toss and Fetch rounds are 90 seconds, rather than the standard 60 seconds
- Judges are required to pass a test

UFO World Cup Series
Beginning year: 2001
Types of games offered: Freestyle and Toss & Fetch
Freestyle Rules Synopsis: 2 minutes, 7 disc limit
What makes UFO unique:
- Earn qualifying spots based on points from multiple events
- Only organization to have world finals event take place outside of the United States

The Quadruped
Beginning year: 1998
Types of games offered: Long Distance
What makes the Quadruped unique:
- Head to head, elimination competition
- Stand-alone distance competition

UpDog Challenge
Beginning year: 2015?
Types of games offered: Freestyle, Toss & Fetch, Long Distance, and Disc Dog Games
Freestyle Rules Synopsis: 105 to 135 seconds (depending on level), 8 disc limit
What makes UpDog unique:
- Offers titling and digital achievements
- Offers games that include agility equipment
- For new players

K9 Frisbee Toss & Fetch League
Beginning year: 2015
Types of games offered: Toss & Fetch
What makes K9 Frisbee Toss & Fetch League unique:
- Competitions held once a week for five weeks to determine seasonal champions
- Shorter events than traditional competitions
- Minimal/casual set up required for event hosts

Flying Disc Dog Open (FDDO)
Beginning year: 1998
Types of games offered: Freestyle and Disc Dog Games
What makes FDDO unique:
- Offers obstacle course games that challenges the thrower’s skills
