Kirby McIlveen found dog sports in 2003 when she started in agility with her Shih Tzu, Lucky. A year later, she got Sketch, a Border Collie. In 2006, they discovered the world of disc dogs and have been competing in disc dog events ever since. Over the years, a few more dogs have joined the pack and picked Kirby as their flying disc thrower. Their talent and enthusiasm has taken them to the top of elite competitions around the world, winning 37 world championships and 7 national championships.
In her dynamic career as a dog trainer and entertainer, Kirby’s canine companions have consistently been the stars of the show, delivering exhilarating halftime performances for prominent sports teams such as the NFL Chargers and the NBA Golden State Warriors. These exceptional dogs have also graced the red carpet at many high-profile events, as well as taking on many other entertainment industry feats.
Kirby is also a credentialed Certified Canine Fitness Trainer (CCFT) by the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Being a CCFT enables her to train dogs to be the best athletes they can be. Kirby offers various training solutions for dog sport enthusiasts and pet dog owners. In her spare time, she hikes with her dogs and helps her mom’s non-profit dog rescue, K9 Spirit Organization.
